Bed and Breakfast or Self Catering Apartment
S. Pietro is a hamlet in a panoramic position overlooking Ascoli Piceno and the Tronto valley. It
is five minutes drive to the provincial capital Ascoli Piceno and 
twenty minutes to the sea
at San Benedetto del Tronto. The village itself lies under the Colle San Marco on a green plateau which serves as a splendid balcony on the Piceno. There are tourists facilities such as tennis courts and pleasant walks in the woods etc.
The house is located within a cluster of houses recently renovated The house too offers splendid views from its terraces. The whole town of Ascoli Piceno is spread out below your feet and the view is extended down the Tronto valley as far as the Adriatic Sea. The surrounding mountains serve as a perfect backdrop.
B&B accommodation is available for up to 6 people. (2 double bedrooms and a bedroom with bunk beds).
There is a large terrace and lounge/dining room for the comfort
of guests as well as the agriturismo's facilities i.e. pool and grounds.
The lounge is particularly striking having been created from the old stalls and preserving the original vaulted stone ceiling. Breakfast can be served in the lounge or on the terrace.
The Self catering apartment is on the top floor.
As the house is
built into the hillside the apartment is still entered from ground level. The
car can be taken right up to the apartment. There is a spacious terrace at the
rear which forms the roof in the top photo. There is a beautiful shaded patio
in front of the apartment for outdoor dining.
The agriturismo's property at the rear of the house is almost entirely woodland with mostly hornbeam and flowering ash (hence the name of
the Agriturismo), but chestnut and other varieties of trees are also found. A short walk brings one to the swimming pool which is available to guests. It has been made using particular materials of the area (travertine stone and chestnut
wood). The pool area is beautifully finished with a spacious paved solarium and includes changing room, toilets, showers and
again stunning views.
A perfect setting to relax in the Italian sunshine.
The wooded area around the pool offers shady woodland walks which are also suitable for the elderly and children. There are picnic areas with table and seating and a viewing platform at the highest point of the property. From this viewpoint you can see the entire Tronto valley as far as the sea and the whole town of Ascoli Piceno immediately below you. Part of the woods can be illuminated at night with a particularly romantic atmosphere.
