Serrapetrona is a quiet village with less than 1000 inhabitants, surrounded by green hills, olive groves and vineyards.
Serrapetrona is easily reached by autostrada and superstrada with just the last 6 km. by quiet country road. Il Granaio is on the edge of the village where you can relax in perfect peace but only a short walk into the village.
In the village you can visit the ancient springs, Fonte delle Conce. The restored castle, the Museo dell'Uomo, the church of San Francesco with a beautiful medieval altar-piece by Lorenzo D'Alessandro and the church of San Lorenzo with a 15th century painting "The crucifixion" by Giovanni Angelo di Antonio.
There is a small general store in Serrapetrona and within a few minutes drive to larger nearby centers - supermarkets, banks, restaurants, bars etc.. All the surrounding towns have beautiful medieval centers well worth a visit.
