Torchiaro is a small community in the newly formed Fermano province (formally province of Ascoli Piceno) The village has a history going back to the 1300's and is almost entirely built in coral pink and terracotta handmade bricks.
Apart from the open piazza in front of the old parish church, the village is mostly quaint narrow cobbled streets, tiny alleys and steps between streets on different levels.
The village has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere and a feeling of well being. There are no shops or bars in Torchiaro, just smiling faces.
The Larger center of Petritoli is close by for shopping

The parish church is the dominating feature in Torchiaro and the piazza in front of it, the largest open space. The small streets on the east of the village give views of the Marche countryside. The small village is surrounded by hilly farmland, vineyards and olive groves, you don't walk far without seeing a magnificent view.
The two center pictures show: left, the view N.E. from the balcony, you can see Fermo on a hill in the distance. Right, the view from the back door with open fields and hills, typical Le Marche.
