Stella di Monsampolo, Ascoli Piceno
Le Marche, Italy.
One of the more important family villas in the Tronto valley area of Le Marche, fashionable at the time amongst the great landowners and nobility of the region. The main building was built in the late 1700's and the wings added over the following century. The villa is still owned by the Priori family. Villa dei Priori has been recently completely restored to it's original glory bearing in mind the necessities of the 21st century.
Situated at Stella di Monsampolo The Villa is easily reached by motorway from both Ancona and Pescara airports and only a few minutes drive from the Adriatic beach at S. Benedetto del Tronto.
The River Tronto in this area forms the border between Le Marche and Abruzzo giving the opportunity for days out in some of the most stunning mountain scenery in Italy - namely the National Parks of the Monti Sibillini, Monti della Laga and Gran Sasso D'Italia.
The villa offers a rare standard of accommodation in the old style. The original artisan furniture, carefully restored with attention to detail, has been used throughout the house to furnish the elegant sitting rooms, dining room, bedrooms and self catering apartment.
The villa's classic park and well maintained gardens offer a tranquil and relaxing ambience. A warm welcome awaits guests at the Villa dei Priori. When you pass through the door, you sense the history of the villa, a happy and contented past. You immediately feel perfectly at home, none of the cold, strangeness associated with modern hotels.
